The lyrics to this song are about the first time my heart was ever broken. It is actually a pretty old song, from high school, but I finally recorded it, and spiced up the music a bit. I wanted a sorta 1980s Heart sounding track about the utter feelings of being used, yet, still not letting it destroy you. There is something so visceral about the first time this happens to any young girl, and I hope I captured it in a way that remains timeless.
